Meeta Mohanty has written a great article about the value of classroom libraries. I am a big fan of promoting more reading for pleasure in schools, as I think too much emphasis is laid on strictly academic/textbook reading in most schools. Her article explains the benefits of classroom libraries as well as how to set one up.
